    About the 3DsLondon Survey

    The initial survey was carried out during 2005 and 2006.     Name of project or initiative:

    Main target group for project: Respondents were asked to tick one main group that the project targeted from amongst 15 possible groups that were included in the research (link to list of disadvantaged groups). However many individuals from disadvantaged groups experience multiple disadvantages. Therefore a number of respondents ticked more than one group.

    Qualifications awarded by project: Respondents were asked whether their project was able to award one or more qualifications or certificates. Five choices were given

  • and respondents were additionally asked to specify the type and level of award.

    Project feedback received from participants and/or employers: Respondents were asked about both formal and informal feedback that they had received from participants (at different stages of the project) and from employers about the project and about individual participants on projects.

    All survey responses have been analysed and are included on the database and hence on this website, except responses to the question 'Other comments' which are analysed together with the research project's qualitative findings and are included in the full research report can be downloaded Full Report here. Users can analyse the survey results on the basis of the search categories listed above. The database can be searched by single or combined criteria including target group, project objective, London borough or LSC sub-region, funder, type of provider organisation, project outcomes, and other aspects. Graphs summarising the main search criteria have been included in Tables and Graphs .

    The 3DsLondon web-based database is particularly useful for provider and stakeholder organisations in London who want to find out what initiatives for disadvantaged groups are already offered and will be of interest to all who want to help achieve greater equality and diversity in London's labour market.
